The role: Cloud Engineer
Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC
Offer: up to $150k yr. (depending on experience) benefits package
Qualifications:
Must have an active security clearance
- At least 6 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, specializing in the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions
- Proven experience in building scalable AWS cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple classification levels (IL5 to IL6 )
- Extensive hands-on expertise with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, EBS, and more
- Advanced skills in creating, managing, and securing desktop OS images across different classification domains in the cloud using AMIs
- Proficient in automating the deployment and configuration of virtual Linux developer desktops in the cloud, with a strong understanding of developer tools such as VSCode and Postman
- Expertise in integrating with enterprise authentication and authorization systems
- Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and hands-on experience implementing security measures in cloud environments
- Strong scripting and programming capabilities (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
