Role: Security Engineer
Location: Reston, VA / Washington, DC / Colorado Springs, CO
Work model: HYBRID - Fulltime (1-2 days in the office)
Salary: $50,000 - $150,000
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE
Must haves:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer, specializing in designing and implementing security controls and ensuring continuous monitoring and auditing for compliance.
- Expert in configuring log collection tools like Splunk, analyzing aggregated logs, and identifying security-relevant anomalies or risks.
- Extensive experience in applying security controls from government regulatory frameworks and standards, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Proven track record of implementing controls for cloud, container, and DevSecOps solutions, including IL5 to IL6 environments on NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and critical infrastructure components.
