Job Description
Comcast Identity Management team is looking for a passionate and motivated, top-tier full-stack Java developer to develop authentication, authorization, and identity management systems for Comcast residential and commercial customers. With us, you will apply breakthrough technologies - including a wide-range of AWS services and technologies such as DynamoDB, ECS, Lambda, Beanstalk, Route 53, and S3 and others -- to design and establish new functionality for tens of millions of customers. You will use all the skills you have, and develop countless more, in partnership with highly adept, highly diverse colleagues.
This candidate will work with the other team members to design and develop new functionality as well as to support existing commitments.
Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and implement web-based Java applications and services to meet business and security requirements. Follow approved best practice lifecycle methodologies including writing design documentation, performing code reviews, implementing unit tests, and writing integration tests. Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Identity domain knowledge is preferred but not required for this role. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
Experience in designing, building, & implementing software solutions in an agile environment.
Solid understanding of core Java platform, and Spring framework (Spring IOC, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlow).
Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and preferred experience with Junit, Cucumber and Selenium
Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of identity management, authentication and authorization, including protocols like: SAML 2.0, OAuth 1.0 / 2.0, XACML 2.0/3.0
Experience with OSS Netflix components
Knowledge of OSI layer 3-7, IP routing, TCP traffic analysis, application flows, GSLBs/VIPs, web servers & services
Experience with 'Infrastructure as a Code' tools is a plus
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) knowledge: understanding of public and private keys.
