Position Overview: The Regional Director of Logistics will oversee and manage logistics operations across the East Region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize supply chain processes. This role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to lead and inspire a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for logistics operations, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and technologies.
