The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a carpenter team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality and safety standards. You will act as the main point of contact between the crew and project management, ensuring efficient workflow and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead and mentor a team of laborers assigning tasks and ensuring compliance with construction plans.
- Monitor project progress and report updates to the Project Manager, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of equipment, materials, and tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Ensure timely communication with the project management team.
- Inspect work completed by crew members ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage material deliveries, inventory, and resources to minimize waste and downtime.
- Address and resolve conflicts or challenges on-site, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain clear, accurate daily logs and documentation of progress, safety checks, and other project details.
Skills
- Proficiency in utilizing ProCore, and other construction management software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- OSHA 30 certification preferred for maintaining a safe work environment
- Influential leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to delegate, map, and time chunk tasks/projects effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to foresee potential issues and troubleshoot effectively to avoid project delays.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.
- Hands-on experience with building materials and tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
