Job Summary
The President, Chief Hospital Executive at Southern Ocean Medical Center is a key leadership position responsible for driving strategic hospital operations. This role requires strong vision, collaboration, and decision-making skills to ensure the hospital's success in meeting its objectives.
This leader will oversee nursing and support services, medical staff/team member/patient satisfaction, medical manpower/business development, and financial performance. The successful candidate will be a visionary who can leverage current resources and systems while exploring new models of care that support population health and position the hospital competitively in the market.
In collaboration with the Regional President and senior leadership team, this leader will establish effective working relationships with key constituents, including community, employed and independent physicians, team members, and board members through open communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and fosters effective collaboration between clinical departments, matrixed care transformation services, employed and independent physicians, and other affiliated services both within and outside the hospital
- Manages and/or assists in the recruitment, development, and supervision of team members
- Involved in the development and management of budget for assigned areas
- Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics
Requirements
A Master's degree in Business Administration or Hospital Administration is required. Ten years of experience in strategic hospital operations and five years of experience in senior-level leadership are also necessary. Strong planning, marketing, organizational development, and business skills are essential, along with information systems capabilities and an appreciation for data-driven decision-making.
