- Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200 employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
- The Administrative Assistant—Radiology Unit will combine both direct and indirect patient care duties. It requires a strong balance of administrative skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Submit all patients’ demographic and insurance information to the Billing department prior to admission
- Assist in maintaining secretarial work-flow, processing, typing, preparation, and mailing of general correspondence & minutes of meetings
- Compile statistics and submit monthly reports to Finance/Budget & Billing Department
- Responsible for answering phones, calling replacement staff when needed, make outside calls at the request of nursing personnel to physicians, patients, or transportation companies
- Update & maintain medical records for in-center and home patients in an organized and professional manner including periodic purging of outdated information
- Perform monthly chart audits to assist nursing personnel in keeping charts updated and compliant with regulatory mandates
- Maintain a calendar of meetings for the Administrative manager
- Make copies of patients’ charts when transferring to an outside facility
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with Hospital policies and other regulatory agencies
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of administrative/clerical experience
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
