Responsibilities
The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation (radiation therapy treatments) to patients as specifically prescribed by a physician in a detailed treatment plan according to established standards and practices.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited education program or Radiologic Technology / Radiation Therapy Program.
1 years’ of experience as a radiation therapist with comprehensive clinical knowledge to include treatment delivery and simulation.
Active and current ARRT certification in Radiological Therapy .
Basic Life Support and CPR certifications.
Skillful in leadership, judgement, creativity and significant knowledge of the field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Aria and EPIC particularly scheduling, charge capture, treatment delivery, historical treatment record interpretation and clinical data.
