Overview

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution, seeks a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join its team. As a key member of the medical imaging department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Identify patients prior to exams using two identifiers, ensuring accurate and efficient care.
• Gain patient cooperation by providing explanations, reducing anxieties, and answering questions.
• Perform portable x-ray examinations in various settings, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
• Minimize radiation exposure for patients by utilizing lead protective shields and optimizing examination protocols.
• Accept assignments from the Medical Imaging Coordinator, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• Enter data into electronic medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Adhere to HIPAA compliance guidelines, protecting sensitive patient information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS certification are mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiology Technician is preferred.
