- Gain patient cooperation by providing explanations, reducing anxieties, and answering questions.
- Perform portable x-ray examinations in various settings, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
- Minimize radiation exposure for patients by utilizing lead protective shields and optimizing examination protocols.
- Accept assignments from the Medical Imaging Coordinator, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Enter data into electronic medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance guidelines, protecting sensitive patient information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS certification are mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiology Technician is preferred.
