- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
- Occupational therapists (OTs) help people improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
- Works with individuals who have conditions that are disabling, they help them to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
- OT helps clients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities but also to compensate for permanent loss of function, their goal is to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
- OT assists clients in performing activities of all types, ranging from using a computer to caring for daily needs such as dressing, cooking, and eating.
- Physical exercises may be used to increase strength and dexterity, while other activities may be chosen to improve visual acuity and the ability to discern patterns.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in occupational therapy.
- 1 years experience
- Current valid NJ State Occupational Therapy license.
- Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support HCP Certification.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 2 years experience
- Experience with electronic health records a plus
- Completed 30 hours of advanced coursework in modalities preferred. Course approved by NJ state licensing board
