Get to Know Your Team:
- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for the collection and analysis of quality data and other metrics required by CMS, NJDOH, theNDNQI and TJC.
- This person will do concurrent medical record review, and enter the data into our Quality Management database and NDNQI data base.
- Also responsible for the collection, trending and analysis of nursing sensitive indicators.
- Serves as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary team for performance improvement on all quality measures, JC standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.
- Will collaborate with CQO and Director of HIM on review of charts for Hospital Associated Conditions, Hospital Acquired Infections and Patient Safety Indicators for a quick review of any identified cases before billing.
- May be asked to do medical record reviews for cases identified for peer review.
- Presents data and analysis of the data at the Performance Improvement Committee and other committees as assigned by the CQO
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 3-5 years’ experience with quality management, data collection and reporting methodology and or clinical chart review and abstraction experience.
- Registered Nurse by the NJ Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse with a Multi-State License part of the NCL required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- CPHQ Preferred.
