Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certified professional to join our surgical team. As a CST, you will assist the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures
- Ensuring that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure
- Assisting with Circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification
- Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
