Get to Know Your Team : Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed,full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergencydepartment, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imagingcenter, and an ICU. Responsibilities Under the supervision of theOR Scheduling Coordinator and / or Dir. of Physician Affairs, screeninterview, counsel and provide direct patient care. Document allclinical observations, findings and services provided in thepatient's electronic medical record (EMR). Report all abnormalobservations and findings to the appropriate medical provider in atimely manner verbally or via Skype. Relay pathology results topatients Recall process for Endoscopy procedures Schedule Endoscopyprocedures Data entry Track pathology results Responsible forretrieving appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and radiology reportsas requested. Assist in transporting paperwork, and other materialsbetween sites when appropriate. Review Rx, Results and Office voicemail folders daily and the, Scheduling / physician pools, daily fortasks, follow-ups as assigned. Responsible for monitoring pathologyresults Perform Medical Assistant duties in accordance with thecurrent Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals. PerformMedical Assistant duties when assigned to other clinical areas.Communicate with clinical, clerical, and managerial staff toprovide continuity of patient care. Attend health center andnetwork meetings, as required and assigned. Report any unusualoccurrences or problems in a timely manner to Unit Coordinator.Other duties and / or projects as assigned. Qualifications JobRequirements : Graduate from an accredited medical assistant / medicaltechnologist school / program. 1-3 years experience in a hospital orphysician practice setting. Higher education may be substituted forexperience. Maintain current National Certification as CertifiedMedical Assistant. Preferred Job Requirements : Associates, HighSchool Diploma, or GED equivalent
