Get to Know YourTeam : Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a newemergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, awomen's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities The CertifiedSurgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the surgeon inthe sterile field according to AORN Standards of PracticeRecommendations. Performs scrub duties in variedspecialties / procedures. Ensures that the case has the necessarysterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure.Assists with Circulating duties under direct supervision of the RNcirculator assigned to the patient. Ensure adherence to Hospital,State and departmental policies and procedures. Qualifications JobRequirements : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT –Certification. Annually complete 15 hours of continuing educationto remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in theState of NJ. Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Job Requirements : High School or GED equivalent Graduate of Surgical TechnologistProgram preferred. Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified SurgicalTechnologist.
