Job Title: Law Clerk (Part-Time)

About Us: Hackman Hulett LLP is a full-service law firm located in the BMO Plaza Building in Indianapolis, IN. Our firm hosts attorneys practicing in all areas of law, providing an excellent opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment.
Role Description: This part-time, in-office role is perfect for a rising 2L or 3L law student. As a Law Clerk at Hackman Hulett LLP, you will assist our attorneys with legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing briefs and memoranda, and providing general administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings
- Assist with case preparation and management
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Review and summarize case law, statutes, and regulations
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of law and legal principles
- Experience in legal document preparation and drafting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research and analysis
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Experience working in a law firm or legal setting is a plus
