What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities/Life Enrichment Coordinator position at HADC Services, LLC?
Evergreen Knoll is seeking an Activities/Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan and implement an activity program that encourages engagement and socialization in support of a high quality of life for residents in our assisted living and memory care community. This 40-hour/week position is eligible for our full benefit package including health and dental, paid holidays, as well as PTO and an immediate employer match to your retirement contributions should you participate in the plan.
Specific responsibilities include:
An energetic and caring demeanor, positive attitude, ability to multitask, and the motivation to get things done, combined with enthusiasm for and a genuine interest in our residents is required. In addition, you must pass a MN DHS background study and be cleared to work with our residents without direct supervision. Previous experience planning and implementing large group activities, as well as previous experience working in assisted living, including memory care, is desired.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Develop relationships with our residents in order to fully understand their interests, and their ability to participate in activities programs
- Plan and implement a variety of life enrichment activities to enhance the day-to-day lives of residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities
- Generate enthusiasm for, and participation in, daily activities to include friendly reminders and in-person invitations, as well as provide or coordinate assistance to get to the planned activity as needed
- Support the OT developed activities program for memory care by guiding and encouraging unit staff in the implementation and leading of activities
- Other responsibilities include developing the activity calendar and assisting with the planning and implementation of special events such as monthly birthday celebrations, holiday celebrations, and other site-hosted gatherings and special occasions.
