Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. Hadco Metal products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears.
Hadco Metal's branches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage with next day delivery.
Our transfer station located in Concord Heights, NH is growing and we are hiring someone experienced in loading and off-loading flatbed trucks. This is initially a part-time position with potential to become full-time.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00AM-11:00AM or 12:00PM (6-7 hours per day)
Summary:
Safely operate forklift to offload raw material and completed orders from shuttles and reload flatbed trucks for next day deliveries.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklift to offload raw material and customer orders.
- Safely load completed orders onto flatbed trucks for deliveries.
- Assure that material is loaded without damage and for optimum delivery schedules.
- Communicate with drivers daily.
- Scan material documents to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
- Comply with transportation-related policies, for proper distribution of weight per DOT and government regulations.
- Promote safe work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Willing and able to work Monday - Friday 5:00AM-11:00AM or 12:00PM (6-7 hours per day).
- Proven work history of commitment and dedication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Minimum two years of experience as a safe forklift operator.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb on to truck beds as needed.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
