Supported by a team of professionals skilled in design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing & distribution of premium quality children's wear, Haddad distributes globally to 100 countries and maintains sales and sourcing offices in 22 cities globally, including New York, Paris, Hilversum, Shanghai, Egypt, Bangkok, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, London and MontrealOverview : The Senior Designer will work cross functionally with Graphic Design, Sales and Merchandising to oversee multiple design areas while facilitating the design and merchandising of apparel lines.Key Accountabilities : Shop the market to research and identify current trends and present competitive data as it is related to their prospective area of responsibility to establish key objectives for the brandEnsure accuracy of tech packs and design catalogManage the overall design process to ensure that the design team is successfully meeting business needs according to the design time and action calendarManage and oversee the overall design process to ensure that lines are meeting the style plans, sales needs and emerging trendsPresent concept and vision in licensor and sales meetingsWork closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to conceptualize and launch clothing lines for several levels of distributionSupervise and lend feedback regarding sampling communication between sample room, Design, and cross-functional teams as neededRecruit top talent, train and develop team membersOversee Fashion Show concepting, styling and go-seesSupervise design staff and provide direction and management throughout the design processSpecial projects as assignedRequirementsRequired Skills / Abilities / Education : Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design8 years of experience in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a plus)Ability to travel as neededProficient in Adobe Creative SuiteExcellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detailAbility to lead and develop a team of designers at all levelsBrand appropriate aestheticConsistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners' products and set them apart from their competitors.Salary Description$75,000 - $125,000
