Grocery Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and exceptional service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, inventory, and customer relationships while maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
• Train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards in food production.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of products.
• Implement budgeting strategies to optimize departmental performance while minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of grocery operations.
• Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and inventory tracking; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their shopping experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in grocery management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes and kitchen management practices.
• Ability to train staff effectively in various areas including bartending, casual dining, and coffee preparation.
• Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and staff schedules.
