Position Summary:
The Food Safety Manager creates, modifies, audits and oversees the application of required Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory programs. Also, the Food Safety & Quality Manager oversees and develops programs related to all testing, record keeping and analysis associated with the Product Safety, Quality Control/ Assurance, FSMA, HAACP, GMP, Plant Safety and Sanitation programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensures highly disciplined compliance with all regulatory and Company / Customer defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and practices to ensure that the safest, highest quality products are produced
· The Food Safety & Quality Manager directs the operation of the Quality Assurance Department and works with all other departments to assure that the Food Safety and Quality Program is implemented, applied and upheld as intended to avoid Food Safety and/or Quality issues with any and all products
· Effectively Administer the Quality Assurance Department and all its ancillary activities (Food Safety, Pest Control, Sanitation, and Regulatory Issues)
· Works with R&D, Sales & Operations on the Training, Operational implementation of all Regulatory compliance, adherence to Internal and Customer –defined specifications, process and specification changes and new product introductions. Also manages investigation and resolution and logging of Customer Complaints
· Maintain a system of continuous improvement primarily by means of Corrective Action Plan (CAP) program.
· Oversee the progress and timely completion of corrective actions and work with all other appropriate parties to accomplish this
· Trains, Directs and Manages personnel (Quality Technicians/ Quality Admin./ Sanitation employees) in setting and accomplishing department goals and objectives
· Set requirements, expectations, goals, and metrics for Quality/ Sanitation employees, and measure performance by providing continual feedback and performing performance reviews
· Manages QA personnel in performing quality checks of raw, work in process, and finished product through inspections. Also manages the resolution of any Product HOLDs
· Fulfills the role of the SQF Practitioner.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
· Overseeing cross-departmental SOP & SSOP updates and process changes to implement quality improvements
· Collaborate with Production Managers on process and workflow changes to improve quality
· Adheres to Hadley’s policies, mission, and values
· Support & comply with Hadley’s GMPs

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Mechanical background and/ or proficiency is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality assurance
- Must be computer literate. Requires proficiency in making and effectively using spreadsheets and word processing for creation of documents. (Strong data analysis and spreadsheet skills)
- Must be experienced and up-to-date on all areas concerning GMPs, Food Safety, including the latest Food Safety Standards & Regulations and have ready resources for food safety program details
· Current HACCP knowledge and capability to plan, control, and document safe food processes consistent with USDA and FDA guidelines
· Excellent communication skills-written, verbal and interpersonal
· Strong Team Management experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
