Hadrian builds software-defined high-precision component factories for the top aerospace companies in the world. We are in search of individuals with the drive to augment manufacturing, helping enable our engineers to build complex, yet elegant software as well as machinists who have a passion for pushing the trade forward.

Position Overview:

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be a key player in developing and operating the quality assurance program for Atlas. This is a dynamic effort including defining the process for how we review customer quality docs (E-Certs) prior to approving for drop-shipment. This includes guiding our product/software team on features required to build our in-house built software to facilitate this process. Additionally, this hire will be responsible for facilitating and approving supplier audits, SCARs, and general quality management and performance monitoring for all suppliers on Hadrian’s ASL.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and approve supplier audits, SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests), and general supplier performance monitoring.

  • Ensure supplier compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management standards by developing and executing both virtual and in-person supplier audits, establishing clear audit criteria to assess whether a supplier can be a long-term quality partner.

  • Develop and operate the quality assurance process for Atlas, Hadrian’s build-to-print subcontracting operations.

  • Define and implement the review process for customer quality documents (E-Certs), ensuring compliance with quality clauses and terms on POs before supplier shipment approval.

  • Review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Material Certifications, Dimensional Inspection Reports, and other AS9100-required aerospace quality documents.

  • Guide Hadrian’s product/software teams in developing in-house tools to streamline capturing, reviewing, and approving supplier quality documentation.

  • Verify that all customer flow-downs are properly included on the purchase order from Hadrian to the supplier.

  • Leverage strong expertise in aerospace CNC machining to assess supplier capabilities and quality practices.

  • Build and scale the supplier quality function by establishing structured processes, hiring/developing a team of specialists, and implementing continuous improvements to ensure quality at scale.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier quality operations.

  • Lead efforts to enhance supplier partnerships, ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience assessing supplier capabilities and implementing best practices to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Ability to review and enforce compliance on FAIRs, Material Certifications, Dimensional Inspection Reports, and other required aerospace quality documents.

  • Ability to design, standardize, and implement supplier quality workflows that scale with business growth. Able to define corrective/preventive action plans, introduce automation, and continuously improve quality assurance processes.

  • Experienced in collaborating with product and software teams to define system requirements, ensuring in-house digital tools effectively capture, review, and approve supplier quality documentation.

  • “Builder” mindset, capable of establishing a structured supplier quality function, hiring and mentoring a team, and scaling processes to drive long-term operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience auditing suppliers is a plus, and a certification in auditing from a certifying body is a plus.

  • Experience working with engineers and product teams to define software requirements, build digital workflows, and develop internal tools from the ground up to streamline quality management processes.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret supplier performance data to drive improvements, predict quality issues, and optimize processes. Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, control charts, and other statistical techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing quality. - Six Sigma certification is a plus.

  • Understanding of how quality requirements tie into supplier contracts, with experience influencing terms to ensure long-term quality and performance.
