Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various areas of law, experience in Defense Base Act - Division of Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation a plus. This role is perfect for an attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment while gaining valuable experience in a law office setting.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Conducting legal research and analysis to provide accurate and relevant information to clients and colleagues
- Drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and agreements
- Representing clients in legal proceedings
- Attending and participating in client meetings, depositions, and mediations
- Assisting senior attorneys with case management and other administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate and organized case files and documents
- Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure proper legal advice is provided to clients
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in the Georgia
- Previous experience as an Associate Attorney or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
