Key Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient movement of boats including to and from the shops, hauling out of the water, lakeside deliveries and launching.
- Attention to safety and detail of all persons, boats, and equipment.
- Responsible for enforcing 100% boat logging for locations and movements.
- Keeping technicians efficient by delivering boat moves to shop bays in a timely manner.
- Answering radio calls from the service writers.
- Assisting with boat service drop off lanes while providing customer service.
Major Duties
- Monitors Yard Schedule application and launches, hauls and moves boats as requested in a timely manner.
- Follows directions of the Service Advisors and Transportation Manager to ensure all boats are being moved and staged in correct locations.
- Follows Procedures set by Transportation Manager to safely move, launch and park boats.
- Records each boat movement according to procedure to ensure all boat mapping is 100% accurate at all times.
- Expert Knowledge of all boat moving and lifting equipment operation.
- Expert knowledge in the operation, docking, launching, delivery and hauling of customers boats.
- Assists with off-load of new boats as possible/needed.
- Monitors housekeeping of docks, grounds and service area. Picking up garbage, neatly parking boats, reporting any damage to buildings or equipment and generally working to keep these areas neat, clean and in order.
- Monitors boats in HMC docks and lots daily; ensures ALL boats are properly covered and parked by end of day.
- Last Marina Porter on Duty each night is responsible for closing all gates and checking service buildings for open or unlocked doors.
- Schedule Requirements and Physical Demands:
- Able to work an average of 40 hours per week.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, which include weekends, nights, days, and holidays.
- Able to walk and stand on your feet 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Able to walk on tile, carpet, and up and down stairs.
- Able to work in inclement weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
