Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our team and contribute to the production of our custom projects and repairs. As an Upholsterer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Upholstery Work: Repairing and reupholstering boats, using a variety of materials and fabrics.
Cutting and Sewing: Measuring, cutting, and sewing fabric to fit furniture frames, ensuring precise alignment and a seamless finish.
Experience in working with canvas.
Inspecting and Evaluating: Inspecting to assess repair and reupholstery needs, as well as evaluating the condition of materials.
Material Selection: Recommending and selecting appropriate materials, fabrics, and padding for each project.
Precision and Quality: Ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship in all upholstery work.
Collaboration: Working closely with the manager, to achieve the desired final product.
Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace: Keeping work areas tidy and organized to maximize efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and tools.
Proficiency in sewing, cutting, and pattern-making.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
