We are looking for a self-motivated Legal assistant to work closely with two attorneys and assist in overall law firm administrative tasks as part of team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Handle communication with clients, attorneys, and other professionals
- Administratively support
- Organize and file for legal files
- Locate and develop case relevant information
- Complete dissemination and delivery of legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain contact lists
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
- Open and close files under direction of attorneys
Skills
- Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in English
- General knowledge of case management software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.25 - $19.00 per hour
