Hagens Berman is currently seeking an Office Manager / Legal Assistant for its Berkeley, CA office. This position would be responsible for general administrative duties, as well as providing legal support.
Responsibilities :
- Support legal team with calendar management and updating matter list; setting up court reporters, court calls, and conference calls; making travel arrangements; and photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Make preparations for depositions, meetings, and other gatherings, both virtually and in person
- Maintain and manage off-site records
- Index and box closed case materials for storage
- Submit weekly time entry for Attorneys and transmit weekly bills to Seattle
- Prepare monthly expense reports and credit card / petty cash reconciliations
- Assist with managing and tracking litigation matters, including maintain internal files
- Assist with maintaining and searching Excel and Microsoft Access databases.
- Work with clients and class members to gather and convey information.
- File and scan documents in document management system.
- Perform administrative functions such as assisting in maintaining a paperless office by scanning and filing documents in document management system, calendaring deadlines, updating matter list, and performing word processing functions
- Answer incoming calls, distribute mail, maintain public areas, order / stock office supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance / repair
- Serve as primary liaison between office vendors and suppliers
- Maintain public areas of office and order supplies
- Miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications :
Hourly Range : $28.00 to $38.00 per hour DOE
