About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analysis Specialist to join the firm’s securities fraud litigation team . This role involves analyzing brokerage statements, calculating investor damages for court submissions and assisting lawyers in evaluating potential cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting and excel at working with complex financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze trade data from brokerage statements
- Input trade information into spreadsheets for further analysis
- Verify trade data accuracy by comparing with historical stock prices
- Calculate investor losses using various methods net losses LIFO FIFO
- Assist lawyers in evaluating potential cases involving financial analysis and accounting issues
- Prepare clear and concise reports on financial findings
- Collaborate with legal teams to provide financial expertise on cases
- Availability during off hours due to the nature of late hour legal filings
