What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Contract Coordinator position at HAGERSTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE?
SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position works with WSCE Allied Health, Health Sciences, and Nursing Divisions to identify and maintain new and current clinical sites that are appropriate for student learning experiences. This position should develop and maintain relationships with Allied Health, Health Sciences, and Nursing faculty and staff; acquire and maintain current information about the skill sets students attain in respective healthcare programs and the employment goals of the programs.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
A. The Clinical Contract Coordinator reports directly to the Allied Health Program Manager, and is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with employers to communicate about jobs and clinical placements, market students and/or services, and update the local labor market information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
A. The Clinical Contract Coordinator is responsible for marketing HCC credit and non-credit students by distributing college materials to employers and explaining skills attained in association with particular HCC and WSCE programs.
B. The Clinical Contract Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with accreditation standards by managing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements for Nursing, Health Sciences, and Allied Health programs.
C. The Clinical Contract Coordinator is responsible for promoting clinical opportunities within the community and precuring new clinical site locations and opportunities for students.
D. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will execute and maintain clinical site contracts, visit clinical sites, and provide supervision of students if appropriate.
E. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will coordinate employer and student participation in job fairs, on campus recruiting, classroom presentations, and other special events.
F. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will be responsible for data collection obtained through employer and student clinical surveys.
G. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will coach students regarding professional behavior prior to starting their clinical experiences via orientation.
H. Meet with faculty and administrators of Nursing, Health Sciences, and WSCE Allied Health Programs to determine student and clinical needs.
I. Act as the main point of contact for clinical sites.
J. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will assist with the processing of clinical documentation and serve as a backup to each division.
K. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will stay up-to-date on Advisory meeting minutes for each program and attend relevant staff and division meetings.
L. The Clinical Contract Coordinator will assist program faculty and staff in monitoring student clinical completion requirements.
