Strategic Communications Liaison

The Strategic Communications Liaison will be responsible for providing strategic communication plans, counselling clients on strategic approach, and driving impactful results. A successful candidate will have experience in creating and executing strategic communications plans, working with senior leadership and / or government officials, and will understand how to navigate dynamic environments effectively.

Responsibilities for the Strategic Communications Liaison Include:

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with client objectives, including crisis communications, reputation management, and proactive messaging in sensitive and dynamic situations
• Provide strategic counsel to help clients navigate complex challenges in emergency management.
• Manage internal and external communications for project and client leadership, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication of messages to stakeholders.
• Craft and deliver compelling content for a variety of communication channels, including press releases, speeches, presentations, website content, social media, and newsletters, tailoring messaging for specific client needs and audiences.
• Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness, providing data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize impact.
• Facilitate high-level stakeholder engagement by managing communications between clients and key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and the media.

Qualifications for the Strategic Communications Liaison Include:

• 10 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Government Relations, and / or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Demonstrated experience working with or supporting C-Suite executives, government officials, and / or senior leadership.
• Proven knowledge in developing and executing strategic communications plans, including intergovernmental affairs, preferably within the emergency management field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt communication styles for diverse audiences.
• Experience in media relations, public affairs, intergovernmental affairs, or emergency management is highly desirable.

Compensation for the Strategic Communications Liaison Includes:

• Salary range of $115,000 - $175,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
