Essential Functions:
o Create and maintain relationships with existing customers in order to maintain, develop and grow within current accounts
o Research and analyze market data in assigned territory to determine new customers and develop a strategy to create new business
o Develop and consistently review sales plan to increase sales and margins in territory and monitor effectiveness of approach
o Develop relationships with supplier partners to enhance product knowledge and solution services
o Understand, manage, and improve the onsite vendor-managed inventory programs we offer customers
o Effectively communicate benefits and advantages of Haggard & Stocking product lines
o Actively pursue and acquire new accounts with emphasis on supply agreements
o Proactively set daily schedule of sales appointments to visit customer locations to ensure contact with plant managers, safety managers and purchasing agents
o Prepare and present solutions based on customer needs
o Maintain clear lines of communication with all internal departments; sales, customer service, accounting, warehouse
Skills and Requirements
· Problem-solving skills are necessary
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office products
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
· Self-discipline and drive is essential
Education and Experience
· College degree is preferred
· Outside sales experience in an industrial setting is preferred
