Position Purpose: This position supports the Food Service Sales Manager in developing and delivering the sales plan for a portfolio of Food Service products for the Haggen division and may include direct sales responsibilities. Leverages all available data sources to understand key business issues/drivers to develop actionable recommendations to deliver sales and category objectives. Assists with the development of goals, planning, implementation and product assortment, pricing and other marketing fundamentals. Assists with product life cycle from concept to creation to delivery on the shelf. Ensures the integrity and execution of merchandising initiatives and business development plans for the category.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists in the development of the quarterly sales strategy and business plans.
- Executes tactical elements of the sales plan including the management of promotions and volume rebates in collaboration with appropriate functional groups and senior management.
- Manages the day-to-day execution of the annual business plan including new promotion and merchandising programs.
- Helps to manage the execution of the pricing and merchandising strategies including trade promotion/volume rebate budgets and planning.
- Utilizes syndicated and retailer data to perform on-going sales and category analysis.
- Analyzes customer sales data and provides insights on item performance.
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting category management scorecard reports used to measure performance.
- Partners with internal Marketing team to develop and execute effective communications and promotional plans on key initiatives.
- Helps to maintain vendor relationships and ensures service goals are met and takes necessary action to ensure vendor compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality of department/company data, initiatives and other sensitive information.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures creating a professional and enjoyable work environment.
- Responsible for all tasks related to ads including loading, proofing and projections to vendors for product needs.

- Assists in New Program and Product Launches
- Assists with Holiday Production Planning: Run prior movement by Store, Write suggested order by store, Re-cap changes from stores.
- Daily Communication with Stores
- Provide guidance as needed to food service crew members in areas such as product knowledge, sales, and marketing techniques.
Ideal candidates will have: 2 years of product management and/or merchandising experience in a retail environment.
Union and Non-Union: “The pay range is $78,000 to $85,000 per year, but no less than the local
minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications
and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of
service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical,dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay(accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, andretirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
Salary : $78,000 - $85,000
