Job Description
Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Fabrication Team in Clarion, IA. This position will machine parts on CNC machine tools designed to turn, drill, bore, and/or mill production material and operate lasers and brake presses in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
- Turn, drill, bore, and/or mill parts to specification using CNC machining tools and processes.
- Operate one or more CNC machines to complete an operation.
- Operate a laser to cut piece parts from sheet steel.
- Operate various brake presses to bend parts to print.
- Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
- Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
- Use various types of CNC machine tools, material handling equipment, jigs, fixtures, measuring gages and instruments, and other applicable hand and power tools.
- Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
- Assist and support other team members.
- Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have at least one of the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
- Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNC certification (or equivalent) or at least 1 year CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- One year manufacturing experience with lasers or brake presses.
