Job Purpose:
The Part-Time Visitor Services Weekend Supervisor serves as a key ambassador for guest relations at Hagley Museum, ensuring a high-quality experience for all visitors. Responsibilities include managing guest and staff safety, overseeing ticket and retail sales, coordinating daily museum operations, and performing related tasks to maintain excellent service standards. This position is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays, with seasonal hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM during Daylight Saving Time and 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM during Standard Time. The supervisor may work independently, with support from a full-time staff member available on call if needed. Additional shifts may be available during peak seasons or special events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise part-time staff, including Visitor Service Associates, Guides, and Drivers to work together to create an exceptional guest experience for daily museum guests, members, and groups
- Be responsible for opening and closing procedures of the Visitor Center and Museum Store
- Working knowledge of Altru (ticketing, reservations, membership, and retail) and WhenToWork (part time staff scheduling and communications)
- Effectively communicate with peers and Leadership to ensure information is properly distributed throughout property
- Identify, investigate, and resolve guest or staff problems/concerns when they arise
- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures
- Communicate with colleagues in the Preservation, Buildings, and Grounds division to report issues in any guest areas
- Altru ticketing and money handling experience preferred
- Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and database management
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds
- Excellent communication, administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Able to perform well in a customer-oriented environment
- Excels in analytical thinking
- Makes sound decisions under pressure
