Job Summary :
This exciting Human Resources site leadership opportunity is based at the Hagyard Equine Institute located in Lexington, Kentucky. Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is the oldest and largest private equine veterinary practice in the world. This key position is responsible for all aspects of HR support including leadership development, talent management, performance management, employee relations, and culture initiatives - partnering with the PetVet Care Centers HR team and the Hagyard Leadership Team to deliver results and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
This position has supervisory responsibility for the onsite Hagyard HR team (3 team members) and the role also serves as a partner, coach, and mentor for the Hagyard Leadership team.
Reporting to the Regional HR Director, with a dotted line to the Hagyard Chief Operations Office, this role will be responsible for :

Talent Management :
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with the Hagyard Leadership Team and their employees acting as a trusted advisor and business partner to lead HR delivery for the equine practice.
- Leads "people planning" to provide guidance and input to field leadership about hospital organizational charts / structure, restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to field leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective / disciplinary actions).
