New Waterloo, in partnership with Infinite Hospitality, is bringing Underground Izakaya by Yoshi Okai of Otoko to Aspen, CO. Opening Summer 2025, this intimate, high-energy space will offer a bold take on Japanese dining, combining tradition with creative execution.
JOB OVERVIEW
A Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining environment. Stewards will assist in washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. This role will contribute to a positive dining experience for guests and support the overall efficiency of the outlet.
What you'll do:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using a commercial dishwasher; ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before reuse
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, countertops, walls, and equipment; regularly sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen surfaces
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials, ensuring garbage bins are emptied and cleaned regularly
- Assist in organizing kitchen supplies, utensils, and equipment in their designated places; replenish stock as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigerators, to ensure they are in good working condition
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, following proper sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables, chairs, and other surfaces
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for team members and guests
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure efficient service and address any cleanliness or sanitation concerns promptly.
- Respond to spills, accidents, or other emergencies that require immediate cleaning and attention
Who you are:
- You have state-issued food handling certifications as required.
- You are able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
