Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Prep Cook, you will assist with all prep, organizing, cleaning, etc in our restaurant . Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and food safety standards.
Duties:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to maintain consistency in food quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest level of sanitation
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies
- Support the dietary department in meeting the nutritional needs of residents or customers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Prep Cook or related position is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
