PURPOSE:
Hair Cuttery Family of Brands is seeking a passionate, creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a natural eye for equilibrium. Someone who is ready and motivated to jump in, take ownership and hit the ground running on everything brand. A collaborative individual who works well on teams and can partner with cross-functional team members to deliver creative solutions and elevated brand collateral. Seeking strategic thinking here that drives action with each design and always considers the bigger picture while not missing the fine details.
SCOPE:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually engaging and innovative designs that convey our brand message effectively across various platforms for three major brands. This could include anything from signage and print materials, web design, email marketing, social media, paid advertising campaigns, multi-touch campaigns, event booths, infographics, photoshoot coordination and even package design, production management and the challenge of scalable storefront branding across 500 salon locations. The ideal candidate stays up to date and on trend with the growing industry, can work in a fast-paced environment, be agile to changing priorities, but also stay focused and execute alongside a team of creatives and marketers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design Prefered
- Experience: 3 years of professional Design Experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects. Preferably on an in-house team.

- Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Basic Excel
- GSuite (Gmal, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc)
- Project Management tool(s)
- Experience with social media and paid media creative
- Canva, Figma, preferred
- Photography/DSLR Camera experience, nice to have
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Review and ensure all final designs meet quality standards and are optimized for various formats and platforms
- Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior designers and other creative team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and collaborate with them to refine ideas
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery
- Strategic approach to design and how each individual piece reflects and communicates the holistic strategy/direction
- Use design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and other tools to produce high-quality visual assets
- Ability to think both creatively and strategically, understanding the business impact of design decisions
Technical Skills

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Study creative briefs to identify project scope and requirements
- Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for all mediums: digital, print, environmental, experiential, etc.
- Collaborate on the development and application of brand strategy (tone/voice, message, and visual
- look/feel)
- Ensure consistent implementation of brand guidelines (fonts, colors, icon/illustration styles, etc.)
- Work alongside stakeholders to help scope projects and requirements based on goals.
- UI/UX design and QA for websites and mobile applications
- Support and development of presentation templates and presentation clean-ups (PPT & Google Slides)
- Assist with in-salon photo shoots including creation of video and static imagery content. Provide shot lists and photography/videography art direction.
- Handle approvals for marketing collateral including swag orders, product labels samples, printed collateral, etc.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: [e.g., after-hour and weekend work may be required].
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Proactive and able to manage timelines to meet due dates/deliverables.
- Must be comfortable participating in meetings on camera.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to Director, Brand & Creative.
