Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Barber | Hair Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hairstyling, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of cutting, shaping, and styling men’s hair, as well as beard grooming. The Barber Hair Stylist will provide top-quality haircuts, beard trims, and grooming services while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Hair Cutting and Styling : Perform haircuts for male clients, including fades, buzz cuts, scissor cuts, and other styles based on client preferences.
Beard Grooming : Provide beard trims, shaping, and grooming services, including mustache shaping and maintenance.
Shampooing and Conditioning : Clean hair and scalp, apply appropriate treatments for hair and scalp health.
Consultations : Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair and grooming needs, offering expert advice on styles and hair care.
Product Recommendations : Recommend suitable hair care products to clients based on their hair type and personal needs.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Sanitation : Ensure that all tools (scissors, clippers, razors) and the work area are clean and sanitized at all times.
Customer Service : Provide an exceptional customer service experience by being friendly, attentive, and professional.
Stay Current with Trends : Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in men’s haircuts, styling, and grooming techniques.

Qualifications :

Education & Training : Must have completed a certified barbering program or cosmetology school and hold a valid barber’s license (if required by state / country).

Experience : At least 1–2 years of experience as a barber or hair stylist, with a focus on men’s haircuts and grooming.

Skills :

Proficiency in using barbering tools (clippers, shears, razors, combs).

Strong knowledge of hair cutting techniques and styles.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients to understand their desired styles.

Ability to perform beard grooming and trimming.

Attention to detail and a creative approach to styling.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand for long periods and use hands and arms to work on clients.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for cutting and styling hair.

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge of skin fades, straight razor shaving, and other advanced cutting techniques.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service.

Working Conditions :

The work is typically performed in a salon, barbershop, or grooming studio.

Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
