What are the responsibilities and job description for the Model Bartender - OMNIA Nightclub Las Vegas position at Hakkasan Group?

The Model Bartender expedites guests’ drink orders and mixes and prepares and serves alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks to all Guests in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub atmosphere. Markets the venues and services offered to a targeted Guest’s base. Focuses on the development of a personal clientele list. Performs in a public relations capacity when promoting The Company. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior Guest service at all times. Assist in establishing and developing new and repeat clientele.

  • Working knowledge of portion control and product identification.
  • Answer questions about food, beverages and other Company functions and services. Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Take orders for beverages from guests
  • Responsible for accurately checking guest identification
  • Provide service to cocktail servers in a timely manner
  • Check beverage and food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented and that special requests have been met
  • Communicate orders through POS terminal immediately
  • Follow given drink recipes when dispensing drinks . Garnish beverages as needed per company standards and recipes
  • Deliver beverage orders promptly
  • Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence
  • Prepare guest checks through POS terminal functions and process guest payments by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other tender types
  • Uphold procedures for Bartender/Mixologist banks
  • Responsible for proper check–out procedures
  • Responsible to ensure accurate accounting of all bar monies
  • Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time
  • Ensure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable items
  • Keep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash, etc. throughout shift. Clean all spills and waste immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles
  • Proper set up and maintenance of banquet function spaces
  • Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident
  • Ability to create and maintain service rapport through The Company Corporate philosophy
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
  • Anticipate guest needs. Provide information to Guests regarding our venues, menus and pricing
  • Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain all Company Sequence of Service Standards
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift
  • Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations
  • Respond to Guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude
  • Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated
  • Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention
  • Refuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws. Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
  • Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a Manager immediately
  • Assist all other team members as needed
  • Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

The marketing and promotional requirements as described below are representative of the minimum requirements of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must have and maintain a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram page used for work which identifies the property
  • Employees must like, comment, share, post on each platform (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), as well as execute 1 activity on each platform for every scheduled non-banquet shift on the clock.
  • Must have an eight (8) person guest list total per workweek
  • Must focus on the development of a personal clientele list
  • Must interact and entertain guests in a professional, cordial and exemplary manner
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management
  • Must market and promote all venue specific events
  • Must adhere to all specified marketing requirements and guidelines as listed above

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 21 years of age
  • Possession of or the ability to possess all state/venue required work cards
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three to five (3 -5) years’ experience in hospitality working in a high-volume bar
  • POS systems
  • Hospitality, Nightclub, Bar, and Lounge operations
  • Beer, wine, spirits, and cigar brands
  • Opening and closing duties

A full lighting system is the lifeblood of the room, creating astounding moments of pulse and flow that highlight every second of the experience. A VIP balcony space provides a revelry point of unprecedented technological wonder. The space also features three bars, including a dedicated bar for VIPs on the balcony, all under a soaringly dramatic operatic dome.
