Position Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Estimator to help manage the estimation process for commercial glazing projects, specifically working with glass and aluminum systems. In this role, you'll assist with reviewing plans, creating estimates, and working closely with other team members to ensure projects stay on track and within budget. Commercial glass experience is preferred but not required. We will provide on-the-job training to help you advance to a full Estimator role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning: Review project details, confirm deadlines, and communicate with team members.
- Estimate Creation: Help gather material pricing and create estimates for projects.
- Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing and submitting proposals, including product details and timelines.
- Communication: Follow up with contractors and vendors to ensure smooth project progress.
- Support: Participate in project reviews and assist with handling changes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Some experience (1-3 years) in estimating or project management for commercial glazing projects (e.g., storefronts, curtain walls, sliding glass doors).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and other bid documents is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and open to learning new software tools.
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
