Hale Mahaolu is a private, nonprofit housing corporation that owns and/or manages low- and moderate-income housing units for families, elderly, and/or disabled people. Our mission is to create and manage vibrant, quality, affordable rental communities and provide supportive programs and services for seniors, families and individuals.

This Housing Manager position is full-time salaried exempt. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Benefits include medical, drug, vision, dental, vacation, retirement plan, and more.
The minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or GED. Active Real Estate License preferred upon hire or at least obtained within six months of hire.
The Housing Manager ensures decent, safe, sanitary affordable housing opportunities for individuals and families while providing competent and timely direction and support to subordinate staff members to attain occupancy, physical property and financial goals. Responsible for the administrative operations of the site including proper marketing to fill vacancies, appropriate handling of tenant relations, as well as cost-effective and efficient facilities management. Oversees the site’s human resources functions including recruiting new employees, training, monitoring, and supervising of all employees of the site. Plans and coordinates activities and events for residents, staff, and/or the community. If applicable, notifies and/or assists the Resident Manager with various aspects of the property’s operations and concerns on an as need-to-know basis. Excellent communication skills, positive and respectful attitude and able to represent the organization in a responsible manner.
