Collections Associate
SUMMARY: Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel (Hale) is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening for a Collections Associate at its corporate offices in West Berlin, NJ. The ideal candidate is service oriented with experience in collection issues, resolving credit discrepancies and payments. The primary role in this position is collections and negotiations with past due customers.

Work Schedule: 8:30AM – 5:00PM; Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Business to Business Collections
- Responsible for collections and negotiations with past due customers.
- Research payment discrepancies and reconcile accounts as needed.
- Review and make decisions to release or hold accounts based on terms, limits, and the status of customer accounts.
- Reporting as required by Credit Manager.
- Other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in business-to-business collections.
- Must have excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work in a team structure, as well as independently.
- Experience with credit approval preferred.
- Experience in construction or transportation industry a plus.
- Certificate of Insurance audit experience a plus.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and multi-task.
- Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office. AS400 experience a plus.
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
