Yard Laborer
Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Voorhees, NJ branch location. We are looking for a Yard utility person to assist the service and sales departments with daily outside operations to join our team of trailer professionals. Responsibilities:
- Perform yard utility functions and a wide variety of other duties assigned, in a safe manner in accordance with all Company polices, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.
- Assist techs as needed and support them on assigned jobs.
- Utilize forklift in a safe manner.
- Wash all types of trailers as needed, using power washer and brushes.
- Experience in moving a variety of trailers in tight spaces.
- Ensure all containers and trailers are safely and securely parked at the end of each day.
- Work in all types of environments inside and outside.
Requirements:
- Must have current driver’s license with no accident, suspensions or moving violations for the past 3 years.
- Must have meaningful / practical work experience as a trailer mechanic.
- Must have some knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of forklifts, power jacks, lift gates, and power tools.
- Must be able to handle a forklift in a safe manner not limited to stacking and unstacking 20’ and 40’ containers as well as decking and undecking up to a triple stack of flats.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies.
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
