The Customer Sales Manager contributes to HALEON's success by executing a profitable selling strategy in assigned account. Responsible to manage key customer relationships to include negotiating customer agreements that deliver against annual HALEON operating plans while successfully delivering against the customer's expectations.
The CSM is HALEON’s “ambassador” to the trade and represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer needs and expectations are met. Further, this person must prepare and conduct monthly/quarterly internal presentations and have excellent internal/external relationship building skills to engage and connect HALEON and the customer’s executive teams, to identify value-creation opportunities, to build trust in our communities and to support the endorse and support the execution of initiatives, plans and strategies.

- Create long-term strategies for business development utilizing Brand and Customer Strategies, Flow Charts, and Trade Funding.
- Oversee execution of account penetration strategy including development of strong relationships with Trade Customer’s Senior Management. Plan, implement and conduct Long-Range Planning sessions.
- Develop conclusions regarding the business results of the competition, HALEON and the Customer utilizing data from multiple sources (Circana, 84.51, Numerator and other data sources)
- Leverage Retailer shopper database to uncover insights that lead to engaging activation strategies that connect HALEON brands to Shopper needs
- Document complex issues and proposals in succinct and persuasive manner; present to groups representing multiple and dissenting points of view; and execute a negotiation strategy.
- Lead on-going business planning sessions for a major customer, balancing achievement of HALEON equity and Customer goals.
- Work with cross-functional teams, requiring goal setting, allocating resource, problem solving and providing recognition.
- Deploy financial resources based on Category strategies and the Brand’s objectives. High level of interaction with account Finance Manager.
- Involved in strategic financial planning to include account P&L process.
- Proactively identify competitive activity in account which may have major, long term impact on Brand and Corporate goals and strategies. Provide recommendations and cost-effective plan of action.
- Assist in developing new analytical tools and processes, identify and forecast opportunities for customer action plans.
- Present to peers, category business unit marketing, sales management, customer, and 3rd parties to gain agreement on recommendations.
- Assist in creating and executing monthly category reviews and P&L to uncover trends of Category, HALEON and Competitive brands.
- Work closely with HALEON Customer Marketing teams to ensure complete communication of trends and opportunities for category segment & brand development. Execute strategic initiatives on core brands that build long/short-term sales for HALEON and customer categories.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years relevant OTC/ CPG experience
- Experience presenting to groups representing multiple and dissenting points of view; and ability to formulate a negotiation strategy.
- Ability to interpret data from several sources to identify opportunities, forecast business trends and analysis of E2 measures.
- Experience working on Kroger account
- Agility and ability to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Demonstrated success executing account penetration strategy and developing strong relationships with Trade Customer’s Senior Management
- Ability to effectively document complex issues and proposals in succinct and persuasive manner. Effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated success leading the business planning cycle for assigned Drive Customers and ability to effectively balance HALEON equity and Customer goals.
- Demonstrated competence in a variety of computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesNet, e-Mail, and other Database Management systems such as 8451, Access, SFA, SPECTRA, Nielsen/IRI, Database Management
