We are currently seeking a Geology Intern to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This role will be about 3 months long starting in May or June of 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Independence, OH office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Independence, OH office.
Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects.
- Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of site characterization programs on various infrastructure and real estate development projects.
- Assist with evaluation of subsurface geologic and environmental data.
- Collection and analysis of water and soil samples.
- Express a willingness to visit construction sites to assist in the field with our construction monitoring service group.
- Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training course where required (not all internship programs will require this training).
- Attend weekly Lunch and Learns.
- Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions.
- Complete a presentation at the end of the summer to include but not limited to:
- Overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc.
- Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
- Driver’s license highly preferred.
- Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career.
- Candidate should be enrolled in a geology, geoscience, or environmental science educational program (undergraduate or graduate).
