We're currently hiring Part-time sales associates for our new location opening very soon in Grosse Pointe, MI!
Associates are responsible for positively contributing to our customer’s shopping experience through knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service. In other words, associates deliver impeccable customer service by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude. Associates need to understand our brand and culture in order to best drive business performance. Greeting customers, attending to customer needs, and building a loyal customer base are just a few of the key responsibilities. To perform these responsibilities, associates must be able to positively interact and build relationships with people; including customers, co-workers and management. Working with a sense of urgency for tasks in a team environment while also contributing to a positive and fun work atmosphere will ensure success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Selling
- Uses product knowledge to educate customers and assist them in making product selections.
- Meets daily and individual goals from manager.
- Initiates self-training using provided materials and participates in any training or clinics assigned by the manager.
- Maintains the visual appeal of the store.
- Observes and monitors for loss prevention and advises management of unusual activity.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
- Partners in store’s execution of all merchandise processing and flow to floor.
- Keeps back room organized and efficient.
- Contributes to a positive team environment.
Cashiering
- Performs sales transactions through skillful use of computer and POS register system.
- Completes transactions in a professional, patient, and timely manner.
- Effectively communicates information regarding sales, markdowns, customer programs, and promotions to customers.
- Responsible for stocking cash wrap with bags, boxes, and other necessary materials.
- Follows all operational policies and procedures, including those for handling cash and security.
Stocking
- Performs all aspects of processing merchandise and/or other items needed for store operations.
- Assists in unloading stock, cleaning all areas of the store, and displaying product.
- Assists in merchandising as well as window and display changes.
- Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the store.
Qualifications
- Complete successful 90-day trial period.
- Strong human relations skills and ability to work and support a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours/days as business dictates, especially during holiday season.
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to effectively manage time with limited supervision and with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow management direction and store policy to complete all duties as required.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for multiple hours as well as lift, pull, push up to 25 lbs.
