Mid-Level Planner - Jacksonville, FL
Halff is seeking to immediately hire a mid-level Planner for their Jacksonville, FL office. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and other public policy and design professionals on a wide variety of planning efforts with public and private entities ranging from comprehensive plan preparation; park, recreation, and trails planning; neighborhood and redevelopment planning; active transportation planning; downtown and corridor planning; land planning; and urban design efforts.
The responsibilities of the Planner position will include support of senior staff projects, public engagement, plan development, report writing and document production, and assisting with the preparation of computer-generated maps and graphic elements needed to convey the ideas generated in each planning effort. In addition, the candidate will periodically participate in business development activities and represent the firm.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in community/urban planning, or a closely related field; advanced degree a plus
- Three to Five years of experience in a planning capacity; project management a plus
- Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated
- Strong writing skills
- Demonstrated abilities in facilitating community stakeholder input and public meetings
- Knowledge of computer programs (GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs) and the ability to produce attractive maps, graphics, and documents
- Ability to travel periodically to client jurisdictions
Desired:
- Experience in both the public and private sector
- AICP and/or other certifications from our allied professions (ASLA, CNU-A, etc.)
