Professional Land Surveyor - PSM
Position Summary:
This is a position with established and talented survey project managers, technicians and field crews that are currently working on FDOT, other state projects and private projects in Central, West and North Florida.
Professional Land Surveyor- Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a licensed PSM in Florida.
- Must have strong leadership qualities that are required to lead multiple, project managers, technicians, and field crews.
- FDOT experience.
- 7 years of management preparing boundary, topographic, site, utility, route and construction survey documents / drawings, legal descriptions.
- MicroStation, GEOPAK and Openroads skills.
- Experience in preparing legal descriptions for FDOT and County projects for land acquisition.
- Capable of conducting critical negotiations and handling controversial issues.
- Ability to successfully manage projects including research, developing scope of work, schedule, and fee.
- Good communication skills and ability to lead and coordinate with project managers, survey crews and survey technicians.
- Able to successfully lead a project team on projects of all sizes and levels of complexity. Ensure that all aspects of the project are followed through to completion which includes client meetings, project team communication, monitoring budgets and progress.
- Ability to travel and visit offices within Florida (25% of the time).
Professional Land Surveyor-Preferred Requirements:
- Land Development and Public Works survey experience is a plus.
- Civil 3D experience is a plus.
- Trimble Business Center experience is a plus.
- Strong computer program skills.
- Support of business development efforts.
- Active in professional organizations, professional development and mentoring of staff and maintains a network of relationships within the survey field.
