Roadway Engineer-in-Training (EIT) - Transportation Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Works under a Professional Engineer (PE) Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design and Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)
- Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
- Works on multiple transportation projects in support of business needs
- Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
- Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in the State of TX, or able and willing to obtain within 6 months of start date
- A minimum of 0 to 3 years of experience in transportation project delivery
- MicroStation (or AutoCAD) experience
- Understand basic roadway design (roadway design manual, AASHTO)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.
- Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD) is a plus
