Senior Mechanical Engineer–
Halff has an immediate opening for a Licensed Mechanical Engineer (P.E.) to work in Houston, Richardson and The Woodlands office.
Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and preparing engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, working with or as a mechanical Project Manager to meet deadlines, aiding in or providing engineering decisions, and collaborating with other engineers, architects, and/or owners.
- Responsible for creating mechanical and plumbing project construction documents, plans, and specifications.
- Responsible for on-site visits, as necessary, to collect existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, and report on-site observations. Construction activities when necessary may include shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI’s, and site visits to generate observation reports.
- Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Senior Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas or have the ability through NCEES to be licensed in Texas and other states.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in Trane Trace 700 or similar energy modeling tools.
- Large central plant experience is a plus
- High-level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, and organization skills.
- Design-build experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects.
